No events to be noted as yet however can anyone help us find shelter for some of our animals – see note below!

Does anyone have any spare stables or even a barn or large shed? Glendrick Roost Animal Welfare Centre have been asked to leave a yard with only a few days notice due to lease holder having a major car accident and being unable to work. They have 5 donkeys, a mule and 3 miniature Shetlands which shared 3 stables needing a place to go temporarily. Is there anyone able to help? Stirling area, based in Fintry!

Would consider anywhere between Glasgow and Stirling including Bearsden Milngavie area or over towards Lennoxtown.

Update on 10/02/12

New location found for the shetlands and donkeys and they are being moved on Saturday.  Thanks to everyone for their help and support!

The animals have been moved!  Unfortunately on the final trip back to Fintry Mione’s car Mitzi broke down in Strathblane while pulling the trailer and it was a long wait for a rescue vehicle to arrive which was big enough to take both vehicles.   At least the animals were not on board however the humans were not too happy!

There will be a few jobs to do today however it is clear already that they have moved to a new home where they will be well cared for by the Stable owners as well as our own “humans”.  A huge thank you to all concerned!
