Cats
Puisicain

Early in June 2006 Puisicain was found abandoned on the road as a tiny 3-4 week old bundle of fluff. Being so wee , bottle feeding was a necessity and thus she became a star attraction at the many fundraising shows throughout the summer as she had to go with us to get fed.
Now she is older she has become a Therapy cat. She attends many of our fundraising events and helps raise much needed funds.
Elvis and Dixie
These two cats were born from brother and sister feral cats Spot and Quin .We were unable to catch the two adult cats to neuter them before they had produced two tiny , hissing bundles of fur. The kittens were captured at 7-8 weeks old and taken to try to tame . They are now two soppy moggies and live with my daughter and her family .
Ceoloch
This grey and white bundle of mischief came as very young kitten of five weeks old . She was the runt of the litter and so we spent a little while hand rearing her to build her up . She is still a bit small but makes up for it with her feisty temperament . She can be very sweet but is quite capable of swiping out with her claws when playing . She torments the other cats and chases them all till they have had enough and turn on her to send her away .
Spot
Spot is one of our original cats . She was born behind the kicking boards in the stable where Tammy and Justin used to live . Her mother was a feral cat and the kittens were little hissing bundles . We managed to get her and her brother Quin to move into my static caravan when the stable was to be burned . We moved them with the help of portions of tuna in a trail down to the caravan . She lived there untill the caravan was sold when she moved down into my house . She now stays inside and has no desire to be an outside cat . Her brother disappeared several years ago . I hate not knowing what has happened to him .Spot will allow herself to be stroked but only on her terms.
Heathcliffe
This enormous ginger puss arrived at our last premises because his owners were emigrating to America . He lived the requisite three weeks in a cattery before being released and remained on site . He is a good friend with Marmaduke . He likes everybody and also gets on ok with the dogs. He has moved into the boss bedroom for the three weeks prior to being released until such time as we have our ‘new home ‘.Hope it happens soon ‘cos I miss all the animals around
Fudge
This beautiful Burmese came at more or less the same time as Spot . She has a slight rectal prolapse and was unsuitable for either showing or breeding . She has a very long pedigree with 19 champions out of a possible 30 in her family tree . But to us she is just ‘ Fudge ‘ and was my mothers constant companion . She is one of the several house cats we have . She allows her claws to be clipped without any fuss as does Puisicain but Ceoloch is a different matter and her claw clipping is a mammoth task .
Oscar
This was an unexpected addition to the feline family and it was not intended he should stay . He came as an unwanted stray from someone in the village with the intention of finding him a new home . Shortly after he arrived he became poorly with what turned out to be FUS [ feline urological syndrome] This means periodically Oscar gets cystitis which means he is quite sore and needs medication to clear it up . This is quite likely to be life long and when prospective new owners hear of this he is not wanted !!! Why is everything supposed to be perfect – nothing ever is ! He is a lovely young cat and gets on well with the other ‘ feral ‘ boys at present sleeping in my bedroom until we find our new premises.
